ecite09
Dear colleague,
as you may or may not have heard, ecite09 is happening in Ormskirk, near Liverpool in the UK, July 2-10.
With this email we would like to draw your attention to it and encourage you to visit the website: http://www.ecite.org
On it you'll find information about our vision and the application and registration process.
Dear colleagues around Europe!
here's news from ecite09:
We are happy to announce that children will be welcome after all. This also means there will be childcare; it'll be a mixture of professional and parent-run care, that we will set up in accordance with the parents. There remains one exclusion for children: they cannot sleep onsite. We are looking into alternative housing for families, either in b&b's in the village or at a local campsite. Please be in touch soon if you are coming with your children, so that we get an idea about what we'll need to provide.
The price of the conference has been set: £ 345,00. This includes room and board on the campus, all meals, ample studiospace for work in small and large groups and a day out.
For families the price might differ slightly because of the different housing situation and the food needs of the children. For partners who come along without participating there will be a different price, as for people who cannot be there the whole time. Please be in touch with us about your specific situation if necessary.
There are four bursary places for which you can apply if the cost is way above your budget and you cannot get funding from your environment.
On february 13 we will do a first sift through the applications and send out letters for registration. If you want to come but haven't applied yet, now would be a good time.
Information about payment will become available with the registration letter. At the moment the value of the £ is very low, close to 1 to 1 with the €, so it may be profitable to pay soon.
Keep checking the website!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Mary, Caroline, Robert, Gesine, Natanja
